At least 35 members of Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, a Pakistan based Kashmiri terrorist group, were killed in Kabul in fresh US raids, the BBC reported on Tuesday.
An agency report quoting sources close to the group said the members killed were from the Pakistani city of Lahore, and included senior leader Ustad Farooq.
The sources said the group was staying in a house in a military compound in Kabul that was hit by a US bomb.
The report apparently proves India's contention of being a victim of cross-border terrorism, aided and abetted by Pakistan.
India has consistently said that the Harkat-ul-Mujahideen and other terrorist outfits gets their cadres trained in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The presence of the Harkat militants in Kabul has strengthened India's case that the fight against terrorism should not be limited to Osama bin Laden or Taleban, and must encompass Pakistan based radical Islamic groups, who regularly pump in arms and militants into Kashmir.
Harkat has been placed on the list of terrorist outfits by the United States in the past.
