The CNN on Saturday evening quoting Justice Department said that a second arrest warrant was issued in New York for a 'material witness'.
The person against whom the warrant was issued had not yet been taken into custody.
Meanwhile, President George W Bush had not ruled out using ground troops in his bid to bring the perpetrator's of Tuesday's attack on the World Trade Centre twin towers and Pentagon to book, a spokesman said.
"The president has not ruled anything out," he said.
