A man convicted of killing an Indian store clerk was sentenced to death by a court in Dallas on Thursday.
Mark Stroman, 32, after his arrest, had blamed the shooting on rage over the September 11 terrorist attacks.
The October 4, 2001 killing was captured on a store surveillance tape. The victim, Vasudev Patel, 49, was an immigrant from India.
Stroman also is charged with killing another convenience store clerk, Waquar Hassan, on September 15. Prosecutors also blame Stroman in the wounding of another Pakistani clerk, Rais Uddin, in a separate attack.
