His incredible kindness makes him lovable'

He is such a caring person. I remember when my daughter was getting married, Dilipsaab sent his car to fetch the groom.

While the guests were being fed, I requested him to join them. He was completely affronted: "How can I eat now? The baraatis have to be fed first! I am from the girl's side."

So he waited till the last guest had left and ate with the family.

I have innumerable anecdotes about him, but what stands out in my mind is his incredible kindness, his way of making people comfortable. That is what makes him so lovable.

He often came home with my husband and ate with us. He particularly loves Bengali fish, it was always a pleasure to cook for him.
