It's another scorching hot day and Pratibha Advani, the daughter of Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani, goes knocking on people's doors in Ahmedabad, asking them to vote for her father.

"He is very simple... he is my role-model. I see him as a man who does not keep malice in his heart for anybody," says Pratibha. She has been working on her father's campaign trail since he first contested from Gandhinagar in 1991.

"I am proud to have a father like him and a mother like Kamlaji," she says.

So is politics Pratibha's cup of tea? "We should not blindly follow our parents into politics if we do not have that urge to serve the people of the country," replies Pratibha, who runs her own TV production company called 'Swayam Infotainment'.

"The reason why I named my company Swayam (Sanskrit for self-made) is that I wanted to do something on my own. I wanted to stand on my feet," she says.

Although she is sure that her father will win the election, she also wants to see him as India's next prime minister. "I have faith that Dada (as she addresses her father) will be the next prime minister," says Pratibha.
