Tables will be weighed down with stuffed chicken, stuffed pork, beef dishes, biryani, pork sorpotel, pork vindaloo, vegetable pulau. All special dishes of East Indian cuisine -- packed with spicy ingredients like the famous bottle masala -- that reflects their unique cultural heritage.

And then as quickly as it began, the feasting, drinking, music and dancing will be over till next year. The tiny East Indian community will disband and return to jobs in the city or the Gulf.
