V V S Laxman gave Tendulkar good company as the two batsmen put on 191 runs for the second wicket after the early loss of Virender Sehwag.
Laxman scored 102 to register his second century in one-day international cricket.
Both ODI centuries have come against the World champions. The first (101) against Australia was scored at the Nehru stadium, in Margao, Goa, on April 6, 2001.
