Hrithik Roshan

I first shot Hrithik in 1997 and his father [filmmaker Rakesh Roshan] asked me if I thought his son has potential. I said he does. I found Hrithik very mature and extremely professional. So much so that his first photo-session was the fastest I ever finished, and yet, we shot as many as 14 rolls!

A few days later, I was shooting Zarine Khan and her daughter Suzanne [now Hrithik's wife] happened to be around. Zarine asked me if I thought there were any interesting new actors on the horizon and I said there is one, Rakesh Roshan's son Hrithik. They looked at each other and started laughing.

Even as I was wondering whether I had said something stupid, they informed me that not only did they know Hrithik, Suzanne had also been seeing him for some time.
